Front Output Flange/Driveshaft Seal, Replacing, Transfer Case With Flange: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the new shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease :G 052 128 A1 .

-- Drive in new shaft seal as far as stop without tilting it.

-- Warm the flange shaft -1- up to approximately 80 °C (176 °F) using the Inductive Heater :VAS 6414 and remove it using the Seal Installer - Hollow Shaft :T10380 .

-- Install circlip -1-.
