- Engine/Transmission Assembly Removed And Placed On The Scissor Lift Table:VAS6131B .
-- Remove Electrical Connectors From Bracket And Disconnect:
2 - For Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 -G108-
3 - For Oxygen Sensor 2 after Catalytic Converter -G131-
Ignore items -1 and 4-.
-- Remove The Nuts -arrows- And The Bolt -1- And The Left Catalytic Converter.
Catch Any Leaking ATF With A Cloth.
-- Remove The Bolts -1, 2, 4, 5 And 6- And Nut -3-.
-- Remove the ATF line.
-- Close Open Lines And Connections With Clean Plugs From The :VAS6122 .
-- Remove Electrical Connectors From Bracket And Disconnect:
2 - For Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130-
3 - For Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39-
Ignore items -1 and 4-.
-- Remove The Nuts -arrows- And The Bolt -1- And The Right Catalytic Converter.
-- Disconnect The Electrical Connectors -1- Leading To The Steering Gear And -2- On The Engine Speed Sensor -G28- And Free Up The Electrical Wires.
There Is A Risk Of Destroying The Transmission Control Module (TCM) (Mechatronic) With Static Discharge.
- Do Not Touch Contacts In Transmission Connector With Hands.
-- To Discharge Static Electricity, Touch The Transmission Housing (Without Wearing Gloves).
-- Turn The Twist Lock Counter-Clockwise In Direction Of -Arrow- And Disconnect The Connector From The Transmission.
-- Free Up The Wiring Harness On The Transmission.
-- Remove The Left And Right Drive Axles From The Transmission Flange Shafts.
-- Remove The Lower Cover -1- From The Transmission In Direction Of -Arrow-.
-- Insert The :T40058 Guide Pins As Follows:
- The Large Diameter -Arrow 1- Faces The Engine.
- The Small Diameter -Arrow 2- Faces The Adapter.
-- Position The :T40257 Onto The :T40263 .
-- Attach The :T40257 To The Bolts On The Vibration Damper.
- The Notch -arrow A- On The :T40257 Must Face The Color Dash -arrow B- On The Vibration Damper.
Ignore The Semi-Round Countersink On The :T40257 .
When Turning The Crankshaft, Only Turn It In The Direction Of Engine Rotation -arrow-.
-- Remove The Six Torque Converter Bolts -Arrow- While Turning The Crankshaft 60° Further In The Direction Of Engine Rotation.
-- Equip The :VAS6131B With The :VAS6131/10 , :VAS6131/13-7 , And :VAS6131/14 As Follows:
The Other Attachments Remain Unchanged.

-- Secure The :VAS6131/13-7 To The Engine In The Threaded Hole With A M10 X 65 Bolt On The Front To The Right, As Shown In The Illustration.
-- Tighten The :VAS6131/13-7 to 20 Nm On The Scissor Lift Table.
-- Attach The Mounting Elements From The :VAS6131/10 and :VAS6131/14 On The Front Of The Transmission, As Shown In Illustration.
-- Turn The Left And Right Spindles Upward Until The :VAS6131/14 Rests Firmly Against The Transmission.
-- Attach Mounting Element Base Plates To :VAS6131B And Tighten To 20 Nm.
Ignore Item -A-.
-- Remove The Starter Bolts -1 And 2-.
-- Press The Starter Off The Transmission And Leave It In The Installation Position.
-- Remove The Remaining Bolts -3 Through 11- That Attach The Engine To The Transmission.
-- Loosen The Clamping Screws -1- On Sides Of :Vas6131B And Pull The Rear Table Top With The Transmission Toward Rear In Direction of -arrow-.
