Left Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the left front muffler. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 -G108- and Oxygen Sensor 2 After Catalytic Converter -G131-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 -G108- AND OXYGEN SENSOR 2 AFTER CATALYTIC CONVERTER -G131-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CYLINDER BANK 2 .
The Suspension Components Could Be Damaged.
- Do not rest the vehicle on its wheels if the subframe mount, the steering gear or the subframe crossbrace are not installed correctly.
- Do not support the vehicle on the subframe or the subframe crossbrace (for example by a floor jack or similar device).
-- Remove the subframe crossbrace. Refer to FRONT AXLE .
Vehicles With Automatic Transmission
-- Remove the left front wheel. Refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
-- Remove the noise insulation -1- in the left wheel housing.
-- Remove the steering intermediate shaft from the steering gear push them upward. Refer to STEERING COLUMN .
Catch any leaking ATF with a cloth.
-- Remove the bolts -1, 4, 5 and 6-.
-- Remove the ATF line.
-- Close open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122 .
Ignore items -2 and 3-.
Continuation For All Vehicles
-- Remove the bolt -2- and the tab with the spring.
-- Remove bolts -arrows- and remove bracket.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- using :T40220 .
-- Remove the bolt -1- and the left catalytic converter.
