Before Opening High Pressure Fuel Injection System: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Audi S5, 2011 Audi S5, 2010 Audi S5, 2009 Audi S5, and 2008 Audi S5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:

The fuel injection system is separated into a high-pressure section where the pressure is a maximum of approximately 120 bar (1740 psi) and a low-pressure section where the pressure is approximately 6 bar (87 psi).

Before opening any components under high pressure, the fuel pressure in the high pressure area must be reduced. The procedure for this is as follows.
