WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The RCM continuously monitors the left front impact sensor circuits for the following faults:

PPT W RCM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
B1413:11 Driver Frontal Restraints Sensor: Circuit Short to Ground Sets when the RCM senses a short to ground from the front impact sensor feed circuit, or a short to voltage from the sensor feed circuit that is less than the normal sensor operating voltage.
B1413:12 Driver Frontal Restraints Sensor: Circuit Short to Battery Sets when the RCM senses a short to voltage from the sensor feed circuit that is greater than the normal sensor operating voltage.
B1413:13 Driver Frontal Restraints Sensor: Circuit Open Sets when the RCM senses an open from the front impact sensor feed circuit, or a short to voltage from the sensor feed circuit that is within a pre-determined range from the normal sensor operating voltage.
B1413:96 Driver Frontal Restraints Sensor: Component Internal Failure Sets when the RCM senses a short to ground from the front impact sensor feed circuit, or a short to voltage from the sensor feed circuit that is less than the normal sensor operating voltage.
