Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The RCM monitors the PAD switch and circuitry. The RCM monitors the PAD switch circuit for the following faults:
- Open circuit
- Short to voltage
- Short to ground
- Short together
- Current out of range
- Faulted PAD switch
If a fault is detected, the RCM stores DTC B00DF:11, B00DF:12, B00DF:13 or B00DF:1D in memory and sends a message to the IPC to illuminate the airbag warning indicator.
