Second Row Seatbelt Buckle - Vehicles With: Inflatable Seatbelts: Removal

WARNING: The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the restraint system and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: LH seat shown, RH seat similar.
  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this article, refer to health and safety warnings in General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Refer to: PYROTECHNIC DEVICE HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

  2. Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
  3. Remove the second row seat. Refer to: Second Row Seat .
  4. Position the second row seat to access the side shield screw.

    1. Pull the release handle.
    2. Partially fold the seat.

  5. Remove the second row seat recline cover screw.

  6. Fold the second row seat.

  8. NOTE: Second row seat cushion pivot arm cover shown transparent for clarity.

    Remove the second row seatbelt buckle.

    1. Detach and disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the bolt.

      Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
