Liftgate Window Glass: Removal

  1. Open the liftgate window glass.

  2. NOTE: Liftgate shown closed for clarity.

    Disconnect the heated rear window element electrical connectors.

  3. Remove the rear spoiler. Refer to: Rear Spoiler .
  4. Release the clips and disconnect the rear window glass lift struts.

  5. Remove the liftgate window glass.

    1. Remove the liftgate window glass hinge nut.

      Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

    2. Slide the liftgate window glass off the pivot pins and remove the liftgate window glass.

  6. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Remove the rear window wiper pivot arm Refer to: Rear Window Wiper Pivot Arm .

  7. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Remove the wiper pivot shaft nut cover.

  8. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Remove the wiper pivot shaft nut.

    Torque: 155 lb.in (17.5 Nm)

  9. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Remove the wiper pivot shaft trim cover.

    1. Remove the wiper pivot shaft trim cover bolts.

      Torque

      : 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

    2. Remove the wiper pivot shaft trim cover.

  10. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.

    1. Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft nuts.

      Torque

      : 55 lb.in (6.2 Nm)

    2. Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.
