Second Row Single Seat Backrest Cover: Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH similar.

Remove the second row seat. Refer to: Second Row Seat .
Remove the second row seat head restraint guide sleeves. Refer to: Second Row Seat Head Restraint Guide Sleeve .
Remove the second row seat manual release handle. Refer to: Second Row Seat Manual Release Handle .
Release the retainers and remove the recline handle cover. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove screw and the recline handle.

Remove the second row seat side shield.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Release the retainers.

Remove the second row seat cushion pivot arm cover.
1. Remove the screw.
2. Release the retainers.

If equipped. Remove the second row single seat armrest. Refer to: Second Row Single Seat Armrest .
Remove the child safety seat tether anchor bezel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Release the backrest cover lower J-clip.

1. Unzip the RH side of the second row single seat backrest cover.
2. If equipped. Unzip the LH side of the second row single seat backrest cover.

1. Position the backrest cover up.
2. Detach the second row single seat backrest cover retainers and position the straps and retainers through the inside of the side shields to the front of the seat.
3. Release the pin-type retainers and position the backrest cover and straps aside.

Position the second row single seat backrest cover retainer forward.

If equipped. Disconnect the second row single seat backrest heater mat electrical connector and release the retainers.

Remove the second row single seat backrest cover and foam as an assembly.

NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-arrows, or the hooks can be torn from the backrest foam.

NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and -loop strips may be torn from the backrest foam.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Remove the second row single seat backrest cover.
1. Invert the second row single seat backrest cover.
2. Release the hook and loop strips.
3. Release the hook and arrows.
