Rear Door Check Arm: Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.
NOTE: Short wheelbase shown, long wheelbase similar.
  1. Open the rear door.

  2. Remove the check arm bolt.

    Torque: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

  3. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to: Rear Door Trim Panel .
  4. NOTE: Door removed from vehicle for clarity.

    Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the screws and the rear door speaker.

    Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)

  5. NOTE: Door removed from vehicle for clarity.

    Remove the rear door check arm nuts.

    Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

    Remove the rear door check arm assembly.
