Pinpoint Test Y : The Trailer Information Display Is Inoperative: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Trailer Information Display. Refer to: Message Center - System Operation and Component Description .

If the odometer count, gear lever position, vehicle speed, factory/transport mode, ignition status, trailer setup, trailer reverse message request, BLIS trailer tow left or BLIS trailer tow right messages are missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the display to its current state based upon the last message received

If the odometer count, gear lever position, vehicle speed, factory/transport mode, ignition status, trailer setup, trailer reverse message request, BLIS trailer tow left or BLIS trailer tow right messages are missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets a DTC for the module in question and defaults the associated display element off or blank.
