Pinpoint Test P : The Stability-Traction Control Indicator (Sliding Car Icon) Is Never Or Always On: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

See Stability-Traction Control Indicator (Sliding Car Icon). Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .

If the stability-traction control indicator request is missing or invalid for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the stability-traction control indicator (sliding car icon) to the last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.

If the IPC does not receive the stability-traction control indicator request for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the stability-traction control indicator (sliding car icon) on.
