Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

If the AWD service required, transmission service required, engine service required, body service required, or gearshift module service required request message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the powertrain malfunction (wrench) RTT indicator to the last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.

If the AWD service required, transmission service required, engine service required, body service required, or gearshift module service required request message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the powertrain malfunction (wrench) RTT indicator on.
