Cabin Heater Coolant Pump: Removal

- WARNING: Always allow the engine to cool before opening the cooling system. Do not unscrew the coolant pressure relief cap when the engine is operating or the cooling system is hot. The cooling system is under pressure; steam and hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.
Release the cooling system pressure by slowly turning the pressure relief cap between 2 and 3 turns and remove the pressure relief cap.

NOTE: The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the smallest particles. When removing any turbocharger or engine air intake system component, ensure that no debris enters the system. Failure to do so may result in damage to the turbocharger.
Loosen the clamp and position the air cleaner outlet pipe RH aside.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Disconnect the hose.

Loosen the clamp and remove the RH air cleaner outlet pipe.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Loosen the clamp and position the RHCAC intake pipe aside.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Remove the nuts and the bracket.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
- Remove the cabin heater coolant pump.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the bracket nut and bolt.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
- Clamp and disconnect the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s).
