Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Outlet Line: Removal

NOTE:
During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.

- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to the appropriate Recovery procedure in GENERAL PROCEDURES .

NOTE: The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the smallest particles. When removing any turbocharger or engine air intake system component, ensure that no debris enters the system. Failure to do so may result in damage to the turbocharger.
Loosen the clamp and position the air cleaner outlet pipe RH aside.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Disconnect the hose.

Loosen the clamp and remove the RH air cleaner outlet pipe.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Remove the A/C compressor outlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Remove the retainers and position the RH splash shield aside.
- Remove the A/C compressor outlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the A/C compressor outlet line.
