Muffler and Tailpipe: Removal

NOTE:
Do not use oil or grease-based lubricants on the isolators. These lubricants may cause deterioration of the isolator. This can lead to separation of the isolator from the exhaust hanger bracket during vehicle operation.
NOTE:
Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .

- Loosen the muffler and tailpipe clamp.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- Loosen the muffler and tailpipe clamp.
Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
- Release the locator tab.
- Loosen the muffler and tailpipe clamp.
- Remove the bolts and remove the tailpipe.
