Catalytic Converter RH: Installation

  1. NOTE: Loosely install the new RH catalytic converter nuts. Do not tighten at this time.

    Position the RH catalytic converter in the vehicle. Loosely install the RH catalytic converter nuts.

  2. Install the transmission support insulator. Refer to: Transmission Support Insulator .
  3. NOTE: Evenly tighten the RH catalytic converter nuts.

    Tighten the RH catalytic converter nuts.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  4. Tighten the clamps in the sequence shown.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

  5. Install the LH catalytic converter. Refer to: Catalytic Converter LH .
  6. Connect the HO2S electrical connector.

  7. Connect the HO2S electrical connector and attach the wire clip.

  8. Check the exhaust system for leaks.
