Pinpoint Test C : DTCS P0562:00, P0563:00

- C1 RETRIEVE ALL CMDTCS IN ALL MODULESNOTE: DTC P0562:00 or P0563:00 can be set if the vehicle has been recently jump started, the battery has been recently charged or the battery has been discharged. The battery may become discharged due to excessive load(s) on the charging system from aftermarket accessories or if the battery has been left unattended with the accessories on.
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode: Retrieve all CMDTC (continuous memory diagnostic trouble code)s.
Is DTC P0562:00 or P0563:00 present in one or more modules and P0563, P0620, P0625, P0626 or P065B present in the PCM?
Yes or diagnosis of the battery and charging system, REFER to: Charging System . No GO to C2 - C2 CHECK VOLTAGE AND GROUND TO THE TCCM
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Transfer Case C2371B .
- Ignition ON
Is the voltage between 11 and 14 volts?
Yes GO to C4 No GO to C3 - C3 CHECK VOLTAGE TO THE TCCM
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2371B-7 Ground
Is the voltage between 11 and 14 volts?
Yes REPAIR the ground circuit. CLEAR all CMDTC's. No VERIFY BJB fuse 13 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the open circuit or short to power. If not OK, Refer to the Wiring Diagram Information to identify possible causes of the circuit short. CLEAR all CMDTC's. - Measure:
- C4 CHECK FOR CORRECT TCCM OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all TCCM connectors.
- Check for the following:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Connect TCCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes INSTALL a new TCCM. REFER to: Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of the connector or pin issues.
