Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

The engine is removed and secured to the engine/transmission holder. Refer to ENGINE, SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
Engine oil is drained.

-- Remove the lower timing chain cover. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the oil pump drive chain and the high pressure pump. Refer to OIL PUMP AND HIGH PRESSURE PUMP DRIVE CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the belt pulley side sealing flange. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .

-- Remove the oil pump. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-.

Ignore item -2-.

-- Remove the bolt -item 2- and the vacuum hose -item 1-.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts in the following sequence: -12 to 1-.

-- Loosen the oil pan upper section carefully from the adhesive then push it off the alignment sleeves and remove it.
