Timing Mechanism Drive Chain, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

Crankshaft -1- secured in "TDC" using :T40069 .

-- Secure the balance shaft chain sprocket with the :T40116 in "TDC" point in the chain sprocket adjustment window -arrow-.

-- Position the timing mechanism drive chain according to the markings made on the drive chain sprockets during removal.

-- Install the guide rail and tighten the bolts -1-.

-- Install the chain tensioner and tighten the bolts -2-.

The :T40116 must be located approximately in the center of the adjustment window -arrow- in the balance shaft chain sprocket.

The locating pin must never be to the left or the right. If necessary offset the chain by one tooth.

-- Install the power take-off drive chain. Refer to OIL PUMP DRIVE CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the camshaft timing chains. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the lower timing chain cover. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
