The mobile online services (IW3) are based on the OCU, Online Connectivity Unit, and the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949-.

The Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- is safeguarded against a crash under the instrument panel on the glove compartment. The Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949- contains an emergency call module a GPS receiver and a compass module. A separate SIM card for the emergency call function is installed.
