Camshaft, Removing And Installing: Removing: Notes

-- Remove the affected ignition coils. Refer to IGNITION COILS WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the affected high pressure pump. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the affected high pressure pipe. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the affected camshaft timing chain from camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .

-- Remove the noise insulation -arrow-.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging valves and piston crowns.

In the course of the following steps, the crankshaft must not stand with any piston at "TDC".

-- Turn the crankshaft 40° opposite engine rotation out of the "TDC" position using the :T40263 and :T40272 -arrow-.
