Gas-Filled Strut, Venting: Procedure

-- Clamp the gas-filled strut in a vise in the area -x- = 50 mm.
WARNING:
- Clamp only within this area, otherwise there is a risk of an accident.
- Wear protective eyewear when sawing.
NOTE:
Cover the saw cut area with a cleaning cloth to absorb any oil spraying out.
-- Cut open the gas-filled strut cylinder within first third of cylinder overall length, starting from the edge on the piston rod side.
