Cleaning the Plenum Chamber and Water Drain Grommets

NOTE:
The cleaning is a repair procedure and should be charged separately.
-- Remove any heavy debris inside the plenum chamber and in the water drain grommets -A- with a flexible grip tool.
-- Fine deposits can be removed using a thin water hose or a pressure cup spray gun VAG 1538 and a flexible nylon tube VAG 1538/2.
-- Install the plenum chamber E-box. Refer to appropriate service information. .
-- Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- The cowl panel -2- and the plenum chamber cover and frame -5- for the intake chamber must not get damaged to prevent water getting into the air condition via the intake chamber -4- when the plenum chamber cover -1- is installed.
- The cowl panel for the plenum chamber cover must latch completely into the windshield frame -3-.
- The plenum chamber cover must be inserted correctly and completely into the mount -arrow- in the cowl panel.
