Checking Battery A

NOTE:

Battery A is located in the spare wheel well.

-- Remove the cover, luggage compartment floor mat and supports. .

-- Free up the wiring harness -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Release the tabs on the left and right -1- and disconnect the front outlet air guide -3- from the battery cooling module.

-- Raise the air guide in order to check the battery negative terminal.

-- Check the exterior condition of the battery.

-- Check the battery terminals -3 and 4- for secure fit and tighten the nuts, if necessary.

-- Check the bracket -6- for secure fit and tighten the bolts, if necessary.

-- Make sure the battery is secure.

-- Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening specification	Nm
Battery terminal clamp to battery terminal -2 and 5-.	5
Bolt to bracket -7-	18
Bolts to battery tray (quantity: 3) -arrows-	40

Checking Auxiliary Battery A1

NOTE:

Auxiliary battery A1 is located near battery A.

-- Remove the luggage compartment floor panel. .

-- Check the exterior condition of the battery.

-- Check the battery terminals -4 and 9- for secure fit and tighten the nuts, if necessary.

-- Check the bracket -8- for secure fit and tighten the bolts, if necessary.

-- Make sure the battery is secure.

-- Install in reverse order of removal.
