Battery Without Visual Indicator

NOTE:

Applies only to the auxiliary battery in hybrid vehicles.

The auxiliary battery A1 is located in the spare wheel well near battery A. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE COMPONENTS AND CABLES OVERVIEW .

Batteries with or without visual indicator must not be opened.

On batteries with visible MIN and MAX markings, the electrolyte level only needs to be checked visually.
The electrolyte level must be above the MIN marking.
Use a flashlight to improve visibility when performing an exterior visual inspection of the MIN and MAX markings.

CAUTION:

Replace the battery if the electrolyte level is below the minimum marking! .
