Fuel Pump (FP) delivery quantity, checking

CAUTION: Fuel system is under pressure! Before opening the system, place rags around the connection area. Then release the pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

NOTE:
  • Voltage at the fuel pump with engine stopped and fuel pump running is approx. 2 volts less than battery voltage.

If minimum delivery quantity is not obtained, the following malfunctions may be present:

Assembly is performed in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Final procedures 

After the repair work, the following work steps must be performed in the following sequence:

  1. Check the DTC memory.
  2. If necessary, erase the DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic Mode 04: Reset/delete diagnostic data .
  3. If the DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code. Refer to Readiness Code .
