Brake Rotor, Removing And Installing, 1LA, 1LB, 1LJ And 1LD 1ZT + S4 /S5: Removing

-- Lift The Vehicle.

-- Remove the wheels.

-- Remove the brake caliper with the brake pads and front brake carrier. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LA, 1LB, 1LJ AND 1LD 1ZT + S4 /S5 .

Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- on the brake rotor while holding the brake rotor firmly.

-- Remove the brake rotor.

NOTE:

When removing the brake rotor from the wheel hub, do not tilt the brake rotor.
