General Description - Electro-Drive Drive Motor
The Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141- -1- is positioned between the internal combustion engine and the transmission.
It directly affects the transmission output shaft and has the following functions:
- Functions like engine, in that it electrically powers the vehicle.
- Functions like a generator, in that the network and the Traction Battery -A2- are charged with electricity.
- Functions as starter, in that it starts the internal combustion engine.
The decoupler in Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141- separates the internal combustion engine from the Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141-. The decoupler is also described as "decoupler F" or just "clutch F".
The "decoupler F" in the Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141- cannot be replaced individually. It is not intended that the Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141- be opened and disassembled.
Acceleration in 1st gear is controlled with the B clutch in the transmission. This is also known as "drive clutch B".
