- The Multifunction Steering Wheel Control Module -J453- measures the steering wheel button and adjustment wheel signals and converts these into digital information.
- The digital information is transmitted to the Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527- via the LIN bus wire in the Airbag Spiral Spring/Return Spring With Slip Ring -F138-.
- The Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527- transmits the information from the LIN bus to the CAN comfort.
- The multifunction steering wheel information is transmitted via the Data Bus on Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- to the CAN infotainment or MOST bus, depending on equipment.
- The infotainment control modules perform the corresponding functions.
