Wheel Bolts Tightening

CAUTION:
In order to make sure the wheel bolts fit correctly, use the correct wheel bolts specified for the model. The wheel bolts for each model have different diameters on the surface of the ball running surface on the wheel rim and they have different lengths .
In this service information the correct wheel mounting is described. Note the following:
- Before installing the wheel clean all contact surfaces of the wheel rim to the wheel hub, the wheel hub and the wheel bolt surfaces on the rim.
- Before installing the wheel bolt carefully clean the threads on the shank contact surfaces.
- Coat the wheel bolt threads using Optimol Paste G-052-109-A2 .
- Do not use an impact wrench to install the wheel bolts.
- Tighten all wheel bolts until the wheel is seated securely on the wheel hub, first with the vehicle on the floor.
- Tighten all wheel bolts to the specified tightening specification with the vehicle on the floor, refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
- Turn each wheel bolt that was tightened to the specified tightening specification at least once more, refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
Once all specified assembly steps have been carefully performed the wheel bolt must be tightened again after driving a specified amount of kilometers.
