Clutch Slave Cylinder, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Clutch master or slave cylinder, removal and installation information. Refer to CLUTCH MASTER OR CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION INFORMATION .

NOTE:

Brake fluid must not come into contact with the transmission. Clean the transmission housing if necessary.

-- If equipped remove the rear noise insulation -2-. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

WARNING:

Danger of eye injury.

Wear protective eyewear.

-- Release the clip -2- with a screwdriver and pull it all the way out.

-- Remove the hose/line assembly from the clutch slave cylinder and seal it.

-- Remove the bolt -3- and remove the clutch slave cylinder -1- toward the rear.

NOTE:

To prevent dirt from getting in, seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug taken from the Engine Bung Set VAS6122.
