High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp Control Module J343 / J344, removing and installing

CAUTION:

HIGH VOLTAGE!
Always disconnect negative ( - ) battery terminal prior to working on parts of HID headlamp components marked with yellow "HIGH VOLTAGE" warning symbols.

Removing

Remove headlamp → Headlamps, removing and installing .

Remove screws - arrows -.
Remove control module - 1 - from housing cover for headlamp housing.

Disconnect electrical connections - 1 - and - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Check gasket between control module for HID headlamp bulb and headlamp housing.
Install headlamp Installing .
Reconnect battery. Required steps Reconnecting .

Tightening torque

Component - fastener	Nm
Control module to headlamp - screw	1
