Front airbag crash sensor, removing and installing

1 - Front airbag crash sensor

Removing

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.
Depending on engine version, remove air duct, if necessary.
Release tab at yellow connector - 3 - and disconnect connector.
Remove two bolts - 2 - on crash sensor - 1 -.

Installing

Switch ignition on.

CAUTION: There must be no one in the vehicle when the battery is being connected.

Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.

2 - Bolts (2x)

Tightening torque 9 Nm

3 - Connector

4 - Lock carrier

NOTE:

After connecting the battery observe the necessary measures. →
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL for ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, CABRIOLET
If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 signals a malfunction after assembly, use vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 A to interrogate, erase and then again interrogate DTC memory.
