Steering wheel, removing and installing (multi-function steering wheel)

1 - Torx bolts T30 (Qty. 2)

Tightening torque 7 Nm

2 - Steering wheel

Removal:

Remove airbag unit (multi-function steering wheel) → Airbag unit, removing and installing (multi-function steering wheel) .
Bring steering wheel to center position (wheels straight).
Remove screw - 6 -.
Remove spiral spring connector - 3 -.

Remove multi-function cable connector - 9 -.
With steering wheel heating: Remove steering wheel heating connector - 10 -.
Remove steering wheel - 2 -.

Installing:

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Ensure connector and securing clip engage completely (audibly).
Insert supply wire - 7 - in clip - 8 -.
Attach steering wheel in center position (wheels straight).
Replace bolt - 4 - and tighten it to 50 Nm.

6 - Socket head bolt

Tightening torque 50 Nm

7 - Supply cable

8 - Clip

9 - Multi-function steering wheel connector

10 - Steering wheel heating connector

11 - Coil connector with slip ring
