Rivet connections, loosening

Cover areas that are difficult to reach to protect against shavings.
Drill out rivet head.
Carefully drive out rivet head using a chisel.
Drive rest of rivet out with a punch.

Remove shavings, e.g. with a workshop vacuum.

NOTE:

Drill shavings lead to damage of convertible top parts and vehicle paint.
