Shift mechanism cover (through VIN 8E_6A156499), removing and installing

Removing

Remove selector lever handle → Selector lever handle (through VIN 8E_6A156499), removing and installing .

Open ashtray in center console and remove trim panel - arrows -.
Remove 2 retaining bolts for ashtray and lift ashtray at rear.

Release all 4 clips - arrows - and pull cover - 1 - with guide upwards to remove.
Disconnect connector from side of guide plate.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Install selector lever handle → Selector lever handle (through VIN 8E_6A156499), removing and installing .
