Tiptronic Switch F189 (from VIN 8E_6A156500), removing and installing

If malfunctions at Tiptronic Switch F189 occur, first check whether magnet at control slide masking panel is properly secured and replace masking panel if necessary. Before replacing the printed circuit, check the wiring.

To replace Tiptronic switch, circuit board must be replaced.

Removing

Remove cover for shift mechanism → Shift mechanism cover (from VIN 8E_6A156500), removing and installing .

Press down retaining hooks - arrows - and pull off cover - 2 - from guide - 1 -.
Remove circuit board with integrated Tiptronic Switch F189.

Check magnets - arrows - on cover strip for secure seating.

Cover strip must be replaced if a magnet is missing.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Install cover for shift mechanism → Shift mechanism cover (from VIN 8E_6A156500), removing and installing .
