Shift Lock Solenoid N110 (from VIN 8E_6A156500), removing and installing

Removing

Remove cover for shift mechanism → Shift mechanism cover (from VIN 8E_6A156500), removing and installing .
Disconnect electrical harness connector on Shift Lock Solenoid N110.
Press retaining hooks - A - into shift mechanism - arrow - and hold it down.

NOTE:

If retaining hook - A - is broken off, selector mechanism function unit must be replaced.

Tip Shift Lock Solenoid N110 down and out in direction of - arrow - so that ball head - 1 - disengages from operating lever on shift mechanism.
Remove Shift Lock Solenoid N110.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Rotate ball head - 1 - to correct installation position.
Guide Shift Lock Solenoid N110 diagonally from above into shift mechanism.
Tip Shift Lock Solenoid N110 down in opposite direction of - arrow -.

Ball head - 1 - must be completely engaged in operating lever on shift mechanism.
Secure Shift Lock Solenoid N110 on retaining hook - A -.
Install cover for shift mechanism → Shift mechanism cover (from VIN 8E_6A156500), removing and installing .
