Selector shaft oil seal, replacing

Selector shaft installed

Carefully pry out oil seal using puller hook T20143/1, taking care not to damage shaft.

Installing

To avoid damaging oil seal - C - , oil seal and selector shaft must only be installed using assembly sleeve 01E 311 120 , - item A -.
Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip half-full with sealing grease G 052 128 A1 .
Lightly oil outer circumference of seal.

Using tube VW 423, drive in oil seal to a depth of 1.1mm+-0.2mm.
