Hydraulic Unit (Hydraulic Pump), Removing And Installing: Removing

Fig 1: Turning Off Ignition And Pressing Convertible Top Operation Switch -E137- -1- For Approximately 5 Seconds

-- Close the convertible top all the way.

-- With the ignition switched off, press the Power Top Operation Switch -E137- -1- for approximately five seconds.

The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.

-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the left luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

-- Disconnect the connectors -2, 3 and 5- from the bracket.

-- Remove the nut -1- and bolt -6- and then remove the bracket -4-.

-- Remove the hydraulic pump and the adhesive strips -3 and 4-.

-- Remove the upper section of noise insulation -2-.

-- Remove the hydraulic pump from the lower section of the noise insulation -1-.

-- If the reservoir and hydraulic pump are being replaced:

Hydraulic Line, Removing. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON VALVE BLOCK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
