Hydraulic Cylinder Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Open the convertible top half way.

-- With the ignition switched off, press the Power Top Operation Switch -E137- -1- for approximately five seconds.

• The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.

-- Remove the convertible top headliner -3- upward near the cover -4- and move it to the side with the help of a second technician.

-- Version 1: Drill out the blind rivets -1- and strike the rivet shaft.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Pull off the cover.

-- Version 2: Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the cover -1-.

-- Remove the clips -3- and then remove the bolts -4-.

-- Remove the washers -5- while removing the bolts.

-- Remove the bolts -1- from out of the mount on the hydraulic cylinder -2- -arrow-.

-- Remove the hydraulic cylinder.

-- If the hydraulic cylinder is being replaced:

• Hydraulic Line, Removing. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If one hydraulic line is being replaced:

• Remove the hydraulic line from the hydraulic cylinder. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
• Remove the hydraulic line from the valve block. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON VALVE BLOCK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
