Convertible Top, Removing And Installing: Installing

Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONVERTIBLE TOP and Wiring Diagram.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the convertible top in the vehicle with the help of 3 technicians.

Two technicians hold the convertible top.
The third technician inserts the hydraulic pump, hydraulic cylinder, and the hydraulic lines.
The convertible top must be attached to the main bearing using the upper stops -1- on the bolts -arrow- for the retaining plate -2-.

-- "Close" the convertible top and slightly lift up on both sides in the convertible top center.

By doing this the convertible top and the main bearing -1- is pushed against the bolt -arrow- in the plate -2-.

-- Tighten the bolts -1, 2 and 3- hand-tight.

-- Lift the convertible top -1- in the center -arrow-.

-- Tighten the bolts -3 and 4- to the specification.

-- Open the convertible top and tighten the bolt -2- to the tightening specification.
