Convertible Top Compartment Cover Hydraulic Cylinder, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.

-- With the ignition switched off, press the Power Top Operation Switch -E137- -1- for approximately five seconds.

• The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.

-- Left: Remove hydraulic pump. Refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT (HYDRAULIC PUMP), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

-- Release the clip -3- on the hydraulic cylinder -4- with a screwdriver and remove the bolt to the side.

-- Remove the clamp -1- and remove the pin -5-.

-- Remove the hydraulic cylinder from out of the hinge -2-.

-- If the hydraulic cylinder is being replaced:

• Hydraulic Line, Removing. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If one hydraulic line is being replaced:

• Remove the hydraulic line from the hydraulic cylinder. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
• Remove the hydraulic line from the valve block. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON VALVE BLOCK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
