Water Drain, Cleaning

NOTE:

Leaves, tree needles, etc. inside the plenum chamber can block the water drain. This causes the water to collect (for example in a car wash or heavy rain) and the water then can get into the inside of the vehicle through the grommets or through the fresh air intake housing.

Cleaning is a separate charge.

-- Remove any heavy debris inside the plenum chamber and in the water drain grommets with a flexible grip tool.

-- Remove fine deposits using a thin water hose, or a suction feed spray-gun VAG 1538 and a flexible nylon tube VAG 1538/2.

-- Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to appropriate service information. .
