AGM Batteries, Checking

CAUTION:

The crash safety is reduced if an incorrect battery is installed.

Always replace an AGM battery with another AGM battery if that is what the vehicle originally had installed.

NOTE:

AGM batteries are marked with "AGM".

The AGM battery is closed, needs no additional maintenance, and must not be opened.

-- Make sure the battery and the terminal clamps are secure. Tighten them if necessary. Refer to BATTERY, CHECKING CABLES FOR SECURE SEATING .

Corrosion on the battery pole
Damage to the battery terminals and housing
