Radio -R-, Removing And Installing, MMI: Removing

-- Remove The Left Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

The Infotainment rack can only be removed once the convertible top hydraulic pump in the luggage compartment is moved.

-- Loosen The Retaining Bracket On The Hydraulic Pump And Necessary Connectors, refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT (HYDRAULIC PUMP), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

They hydraulic lines are not affected. Do not disconnect them.

-- Swivel the hydraulic pump in the luggage compartment.

-- Loosen the nuts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4- on the infotainment rack -6-.

-- Swivel the rack -6- in the luggage compartment.

-- Unlock and disconnect the connectors from the Radio -R- -5- and TV Tuner -R78-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps :VAS6223/9 -1- onto the MOST bus connector -2-.

The Radio -R- is attached to the rack with two locking tabs.

-- Press the lock button -arrow- on the Radio -R- -2- and remove the Radio -R- -2- from the rack -1-.
