Steering Column Switch Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Adjust steering wheel downward and to rear as far as possible, use entire adjustment range of steering column adjustment for this.

-- Remove The Driver Airbag. Refer to AIRBAG UNIT WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG / OVERVIEW - STEERING WHEEL .

-- Remove the steering wheel. Refer to AIRBAG UNIT WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG / OVERVIEW - STEERING WHEEL .

-- Remove The Steering Column Trim Panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL / UPPER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / LOWER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

WARNING:

Before disconnecting the connector -3-, discharge any electrostatic charge from your body by touching an electrically grounded vehicle component such as the door striker pin.

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Press the catch -1- in the direction of the -arrow- until the connector -2- disengages.
