Rear Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the side trim panel. Refer to SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear belt end fitting. Refer to REAR OUTER BELT END FITTING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Rear seat belt tensioner igniter:

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Follow all regulations when disposing of pyrotechnic components. Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, STORING, TRANSPORTING AND DISPOSING (PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS) .

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY .

WARNING:

Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- To do this, release the connector lock -3- using a small screwdriver -1- and remove the connector -2-.

-- Thread the seat belt webbing -2- downward and remove the three-point seat belt -1-.
