Seat Pan, Disassembling And Assembling, Lower Frame: Removing
- Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.
-- Raise The Front Seat As Far Up As Possible To Hold The Torsion Bar Pretension As Low As Possible.
-- Remove The Front Seat:
- Standard and Power Sport Seat, Comfort Seat and Super Sport Seat. Refer to POWER FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the seat position sensor on the seat pan lower frame. Refer to SEAT POSITION SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, EQUIPMENT WITH PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR FOR BELT FASTENING DETECTION .
-- Remove the front seat belt latch on the seat pan lower frame. Refer to FRONT SEAT BELT LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector on the seat forward/back adjustment motor.
-- Remove The Bolt -3-.
Danger Of Damaging The Threaded Holes Or The Bushings In The Bearing Points (Connecting The Upper And Lower Frame).
To Remove The Bolts Mentioned In The Following, A Second Technician Must Be Pushing Down Slightly On The Seat Backrest.
-- Remove the bolts -2- (quantity: 4).
-- Remove the lower frame -4- from the upper frame -1-.
-- Make sure the bushings -1- in the bearing points (upper and lower frame connection) -2- are not damaged.
- The Bushings Cannot Be Replaced With Workshop Materials.
- If The Bushings Are Damaged, The Corresponding Assembly Parts Must Be Replaced.
